So I’ve always known the doctor is crazy,
But like, damn boy, you be cray.
I'm a proud Texas Aggie and a second-year Kindergarten teacher at an extended-day charter school. A lover of reading and writing, I'm trying my hand at blogging while documenting the first years of my teaching experience, which includes classroom management, parent conferences, LOTS of learning, and the most complex of all: living with my boyfriend.
But like, damn boy, you be cray.

sonics-saltguns-and-sociopaths:
Times when you’ve probably encountered the Silence and forgotten:
-Any time you’ve walked into a room and forgotten what you went in there for.
-When the dog barks at nothing.
-Any time you’ve experienced deja vu.
-Whenever you hear the floorboards creek in an empty house.
-When the cat stares at the corner of the room.
-Whenever you’re alone and feel like you’re being watched.
-Anytime you’ve lost your train of thought for no reason.
Add more if you got ‘em
I forgot why I reblogged this.
NO STOP I DONT LIKE THIS
I took a nap today and when I woke up I SO felt like I was being watched, just stop this, stop it now!

I’m obsessed with traveling and grad school right now…It’s kind of getting me through the rest of this school year.
Been busy, busy, busy. Lots of drama at school regarding a special family of mine. He was withdrawn last week, and I will be getting a new student tomorrow. (Welcome to kindergarten…IN APRIL…). So, still trying to get over my student that left :(
I have been teaching Saturday school for the past 6 weeks. It’s actually really refreshing working with 4th graders after a week in kindergarten, but I’m honestly really happy that next week is the last week…I’ll enjoy having Saturday mornings again.
This week was our kindergarten MOOsical (It’s barn-themed, get it?!), and my babies we so freakin cute! I really wish I could share the video with y’all, but I can’t, so you can take my word for it! (If this helps with the visualizing, we were dressed up as cows!)
Spent today printing out new centers to hopefully keep my kid’s boredom at bay (mainly though so they will be entertained enough to not interrupt my small groups). I’m gonna be a laminating monster tomorrow as I get ready to implement them. I also just changed how I manage centers in my classroom, so we’ll see how that goes.
That was a lot of words, yet it nowhere near encompasses everything that’s been going on. Just thought I’d pop in and give a quick ‘hello’ to all you loverly folks! :)
P.S. I know I’ve been busy when I haven’t made time to watch last night’s new Who episode yet :(
And literally 3 minutes after I published that last post, my boyfriend checked the mail and I got a package full of delicious chocolate from my buddy.
Thank you :)
…you know, the one where something like 50% of teachers quit before 5 years. I’m ashamed to say that, but if I’m being honest…
*sigh* This isn’t what I went to college for.
YES!
